Hate Crimes Against Asian Americans

The past year has brought about a lot of change in the world, one of them being an increase in anti-Asian hate incidents. Research conducted by Stop AAPI Hate reveals that 3,800 cases were reported over the past year, with women as victims in about 68% of them. Most of these incidents consisted of verbal harassment, shunning, and physical assault. Moreover, over a third occurred at business, a place full of room for discrimination.

Over the course of the pandemic, more and more incidents of Asian men and women being verbally harassed, choked, and stabbed on the streets show up on the news. However, what's surprising is the lack of awareness about this situation. Keep in mind that some cases may even go unreported. If we need one way to better the world, it's to circulate information about these issues in order to stop them.

What You Can Do To Help
